Individual membership

Membership is open to individuals on payment of an annual subscription. Children under 16 may exhibit without a subscription but must be registered

Costs of membership

  • £5.00 per member
  • ​£9.00 per couple or household
  • children under 16 go free but please complete a junior registration form
  • join at any show or event or by completing the membership application form
  • annual membership expires on the 30th September each year



We are able to maintain the current level of subscriptions because of the good work done by members of the Society in raising funds.  We welcome donations which help us continue to offer low cost value events for all.

Special memberships

We offer membership to horticultural, allotment and non-horticultural groups on payment of the individual annual membership subscription.  

Benefits of group membership

  • access to all of the benefits available to individual members.

  • each group receives one membership card enabling one member of the group to access an event/show at any one time

  • opportunity for the group to make a group entry into our shows,  (individual membership is required for individual entries).

  • optional fun classroom projects
  • volunteer help in classroom and gardens
  • free publicity

Juniors and children under 16

We welcome junior entries in our shows and have a special Junior show guide  available. Although children do not require membership, we wish to take a responsible approach and require a one off junior  registration form with the details of a responsible adult.
